Erifili Maroniti

She is a coordinator of Athens Culture Net, the Project Manager of “Athens 2018 – World Book Capital”, and a cultural advisor to the Mayor of Athens, G. Kaminis. She has worked as a journalist since 1987 (BBC External Services – Greek Section, Mega Channel, Vivliodromio – TA NEA, Vivliothiki – Eleftherotypia, on NET 105.8 radio, with the cultural radio show “Periplous”, inter alia). She is the winner of the 2013 Literary Translation Prize (in Greek) for the translation of The Imperfectionists by Tom Rachman, and has also translated “Prose” by S. Beckett, and “Bring Up the Bodies” and «The Assassination of Margaret Thatcher” by booker-prize-winner, Hilary Mantel, among other works. She is a graduate of the Department of Classical Philology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her postgraduate studies included Studies in Comparative Narration in Archaic Art and Lyrical Poetry, as well as in Hellenistic Novels, in AUTh and King’s College, London.
